Most of my story notes are equivalent to an outline in googledocs with detail only added 1-2 weeks out from the session where that story beat will happen. Most of my character notes are just a picture and really short one line notes about a character's motivations and interactions they have had with the party. Realmworks has some features that one note does not have, but for the most part one note is really all I need. I had a realmworks subscription and I let it lapse to use One Note instead (because it came with my office 365 subscription).
